Each year, the Melissa Jane Nicandri Foundation awards two $5,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at Ponte Vedra High School who exemplify the values Melissa embodied: kindness, curiosity, and love of community.
The scholarship must be used toward tuition, books, room and board, or other college-related expenses.
Eligibility
- Graduating senior at Ponte Vedra High School.
- Enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution on a full-time basis.
- A cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Demonstrated community involvement or volunteer service.
- Application must be submitted by April 15th to be considered.

Application Requirements
- Completed scholarship application form below.
- Personal Essay as listed above.
- Documented community service hours.
- One letter of recommendation submitted by school personnel (administrator, counselor, teacher). The student is responsible for ensuring the letter is submitted by email to scholarships@mjnfoundation.org prior to the deadline of April 15th.
Award: One-time scholarship ($5,000). Recipients will be recognized at Senior Awards Night and on the Foundation website.
